POWER ACOUSTIK RZ4-2000D RAZOR Nano 4 Channel 2000 Watt Amplifier (Black)
Dont waste the money
I installed this about 2 months ago and have been troubleshooting noise issues since. Constant alternator whine, speakers hiss, pop, and crackle audibly when music is low/paused.
I've done all the standard troubleshooting for this sort of issue (reground to unpainted metal, ground at same location as head unit, swap cables, etc) and nothing makes a difference. It's wired with 4AWG wire per the specs. Swapped out to a different amp temporarily with the same wiring and all issues immediately went away. Swapped this back in and they all came back.
I hate to say I was fooled, but they got me on this one. It's a junk amp. It's noisy even running off a car battery outside of a car (in other words, completely isolated from any electrical noise).
It's a shame, because the specs are good, and the amp does seem to push a decent amount of power (hard to know for sure without additional testing equipment) but it's so noisy you don't even want to use the extra...
